Meet the Founder - The Story Behind Sikhi Designs

My name is Pritpal Matharu, a graphic designer, storyteller, and founder of Sikhi Designs. I live in London, where this idea took shape, quietly at first, then with conviction.

Sikhi Designs was born from a simple vision: to create pieces that let us wear our pride, carry our values, and celebrate our culture with authenticity and grace.

As a designer, I’ve always been drawn to stories, especially those told visually.

Lines, textures, and symbols can hold meaning far deeper than words.

I wanted to bring that sense of storytelling into everyday life, to create something beautiful, purposeful, and lasting.

Every Sikhi Designs piece begins with reverence.

From the first sketch to the final print, we treat each design as an offering, a reflection of faith, courage, and identity.

Our garments are locally hand-printed in collaboration with a Sikh artisan, using eco-conscious fabrics, heavyweight cotton, and premium fits crafted to endure. Each piece features a unique design you won’t find anywhere else, built for everyday wear and made to move with you through life. With every purchase, you also support seva, making each item part of something greater.
